The conference will take place on June 9-13, 2020, in Hammamet, Tunisia. The workshops will take place on June 9th and 10th. The duration of each workshop is one day.

The following is a suggested list of topics but we also invite proposals related to the conference theme at large.

• Language assessment literacy
• Test adaptation & translation
• Aligning curriculum and assessment to international standards
• Statistical analysis for teachers and/or language testing researchers
• Measurement models (e.g., IRT)
• Designing, validating and using assessments of languages other than English
• Standard setting in multi-lingual contexts

Full day workshops are expected to start at 09:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm with 1 hour lunch break. Lunch is not included in workshop fees.

In your proposal, please provide the following information:

2. 50 words biodata of workshop leader(s)
3. 200 word abstract
4. Topic of workshop and how it is related to the main conference theme

6. Workshop outline or agenda (max 1 page)
7. Participants profile (any background knowledge you expect them to have)
8. Pre-workshop activities, if any.
9. Maximum number of participants you would be willing to accept. The minimum number to run a workshop would be 20 participants.

1. an honorarium of US$500 per workshop. If a workshop has multiple leaders, the honorarium must be shared.
2. Return economy airfare (maximum US$750) for one workshop leader and a maximum of US$1000 if there are two leaders per workshop.
3. Hotel accommodation (based on bed & breakfast) for the duration of the workshop (the night prior plus each workshop day – up to a maximum of two nights)
4. Per diem for the duration of the workshop (US$50/day).

LCD projector and screen will be available in the meeting rooms but the presenters must supply their own computer and cables for their presentation. All rooms are equipped with wifi.

The workshop audience are expected to be researchers, graduate students, classroom teachers, university lecturers, and members of the language testing community. Given the location of LTRC 2020, it is anticipated that most participants will be from the host country, the Arab world, Africa, and Europe.

Please email your proposal to no later than 19th August, 2019. You will be notified of successful outcome by 21st October, 2019.

We look forward to receiving your proposals.

Kind regards,
