ALTE’s 51st Conference Day is being hosted by the BBU-RCI Consortium for Testing Romanian as a Foreign Language (Babes-Bolyai University and the Romanian Cultural Institute) and will take place at the Faculty of Letters, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania on Friday 13th April 2018.

The theme of the conference will be: “Multilingualism and using language for specific purposes – the role of assessment”.

LSP learning and assessment have been around for more than 50 years. But as the world changes at such a fast pace, so do the stakeholders’ exigencies and requirements. How does this reflect in the historical evolution of the domain and which are the predictions and provocations for the future? What test design tools keep up with the new and unpredictable challenges? How does LSP currently materialize in the academic, employment and migration fields? These are the dimensions which will structure the 51st ALTE conference, addressing the various challenges of a multilingual global environment.

The conference day is open to all those with an interest in language testing and the registration fee is €50, this includes access to the workshops, coffee breaks, and lunch.
