What is ILTA?

ILTA is an international group of language testing and assessment scholars and practitioners whose dedication and work are respected both within and outside the profession, and who together define what it means to be a language tester.

What are ILTA's aims?
ILTA exists to promote the improvement of language testing and assessment throughout the world. We aim to:
- stimulate professional growth through workshops and conferences
- promote dissemination of information about language testing and related fields
- develop and provide for leadership in the field
- increase public understanding and support of language testing as a profession
- build professional pride among our membership
- recognize outstanding achievement among our membership
- cooperate with other groups interested in language testing, applied linguistics and measurement

How do I join ILTA?
If you are joining ILTA for the first time, fill out the New Member ONLINE FORM on the ILTA website and make a payment by credit card, e-check, or PayPal transfer. Or download the ILTA membership form and mail/fax it to the ILTA Business Office : 3416 Primm Lane, Birmingham, Alabama 35216, USA.
