DEADLINE for submission of Abstracts: August 5, 2017

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Department of English at the University of Macao is pleased to announce the AWL Workshop and Conference. Given the multilingual nature of communities around the world where assessment is critical, the theme of this international conference will be "Assessing World Languages."

The Workshop will be held on November 8 and 9 and focus on training participants in both assessing skills and quantitative research methods. The Conference will be held on November 10 and 11 and focus on research that connects assessment with teaching and learning of languages and contexts that are typically under-represented.

Abstracts are invited for 30 minute presentations and posters. They should be in Word format and not more than 300 words. We are looking for presentations and posters that are typically under-represented: languages other than English; multilingual/pluralingual classroom contexts; teacher-based assessments; and assessment policy. DEADLINE: August 5, 2017. E-mail abstract to: FAH.AWL@umac.mo
